Ours is an old building, and a lot of residents were hesitant about switching to a newfangled intercom system, but we had already done a number of successful projects with Academy—including mailboxes and security cameras—so there was a level of trust that was a deciding factor in our decision for go forward. Happily, the installation went smoothly, and everyone has adapted to the new technology, thanks to great support and infinite patience from Academy. In the end, it’s been a great upgrade; we have no doorman, and now residents can easily provide remote access for guests or deliveries. We may be a landmark, but we live in the 21st century.

From day one Javier at Academy Intercom went above and beyond. He explained to us all our options which made our decision process a lot easier. He also made sure our transition was seamless and problem free. The technicians worked quickly and professionally which is very rare these days. So happy with the technology we chose. It has amazing features which not only makes our lives easier but also adds an extra level of security which we didn’t have before. Academy Intercom was a pleasure to work with and I highly recommend them.

Javier at Academy ran the installation at our building flawlessly. He answered all our questions and concerns (and there were plenty of questions). He spent more than ample time in getting us up and running and left everyone confident in using the new technology. Everyone in the building loves the new panels and features. Javier and his team are true professionals in every sense of the word. The installation service (Gary) went out of his way to make sure any holes were kept to a minimum and could easily be repaired. The modern design of the intercom fits in anywhere and matches our black designed doors. The instructions given to us were simple and straightforward. Javier did a wonderful job explaining the nuts and bolts of the system. I’m sure any follow up will be handled in just the same professional manner. We couldn’t be more satisfied.

I have been working with Academy for over 19 years and you are one of the few vendors I can CONTINUALLY rely upon, year after year. I find Academy to be reliable and responsive, no matter what my request is. From simple repairs to complicated CCTV needs, Academy communicates clearly and always finishes the job as expected and approved. I have never once had a technician not arrive when expected and I know that when Academy does the job, it will be fixed correctly the first time.

Academy has been a great resource for our Co-ops and Condos. They successfully recommended and installed a new intercom and access control system at an UWS 26 unit coop. Residents experienced professional installers who were knowledgeable and responsive. This is all I could ask for! I would highly recommend them for repairs and new installations.

They have their craft down to a science. Academy provides many different equipment options that they tailor to our individual building’s needs. Academy provides extensive instruction on how to operate all of their equipment. When it comes time to arrange for the installation, Academy knows all the right things to attend to – keeping the managing agent and residents informed about timing, and how to deal with any potential or real problems. Academy has never left a job before we were completely satisfied with their work. Furthermore, Academy has an excellent repair division that successfully attends to resolving all intercom issues.
